Up for sale is a 2001 Martin D-15 Mahogany Top Dreadnought with its original hardshell case which has recently been setup and inspected by a luthier. Starting at the body, you’ll immediately see that there are very minimal dings and scratches. I’ve tried my best to photograph all angles and imperfections. As you‘re looking at the front of the guitar, to the left of the fretboard where it is attached to the body, at the 15th fret there is a hairline crack that is about 2-3 in” long and runs to about the 17th fret. It is very thin and unnoticeable at a passing glance. You really have to look hard to see that it is there. This guitar has been well kept for during its 23 year life. The original pick guard has normal wear to it. A Fishman Earth pickup has been installed but will need a new battery before plugging in. The neck is in good condition and has never been reset. There is a small gap (less than 1/16”) where the heel meets the body but upon inspection the luthier said it does not affect playability. Headstock is in great condition and the tuners function fine. This guitar weighs 4 lbs 5 oz and will be shipped in its original Martin TKL hardshell case with an original owner‘s card (I am not the original owner) and Martin manual.
This is the best sounding acoustic guitar that I have ever owned. It produces such a full, warm sound to it and is perfect for those looking to own an older acoustic guitar at a decent price.
Serial number for verification is 824525.
