Up for sale is a Limited Edition, 3 pickup Gibson Les Paul Classic in ebony black from 2001 purchased from Sam Ash that pays homage to the Gibson Black Beauty from the late 1950s. It’s had one 23 year owner with me being the second. This thing is an absolute MONSTER! Tone for days! I pride myself on trying to have the best pictures on Reverb and I think that they speak for themselves. 

Starting at the body, the overall condition is about a 6 or 7/10. For starters it is missing its cream colored pick guard and bracket. It’s had its fair share of playing. There are dings and lots of finish swirling on the front of the body. The back has had many stickers and there are outlines of each one (pictures may or may not show). As expected there is buckle rash as well. The gold finish on the hardware has lots of tarnishing but it all adds character. Tone/volume electronics work fine. The pickup switch position are as follows: treble position = bridge pickup, middle position = bridge and middle pickups, rhythm position = neck pickup. Moving up the neck, the rosewood fretboard has recently been oiled with MusicNomad products, and has wear as expected on a guitar of this age. The original nut width is 1.694”. There has never been any repairs to the neck and the fretboard has never been refretted. The neck has never been reset either. The headstock with the Limited Edition logo on the back has its share of dings and scratches but has never had a break. The chrome tuners don’t seem to be original since the rest of the hardware is gold but the original owner said that he didn’t remember switching them out. Overall weight is 8lbs 13oz. The case that you will receive is a Gibson U.S.A. hard case from 1995. It is not the original, but is identical to it and in near mint condition. Unfortunately there is no case candy or Gibson paperwork with it. The original owner was 15 when he bought it and discarded it years ago.
