For you consideration is rare original 1999 Fender American Deluxe Telecaster with an original hardshell case. Only made from 1998 to 1999! A truly great piece of music history that combines the Tele sound with the Strat functionality. This is natural aging, not relic'd. Please read the entire description, look through all photos, and reach out with questions prior to purchasing as I do not accept returns. 
 
Starting at the body, there are plenty of signs of use. The polyurethane finish has come off on the top left shoulder as you're looking directly at it. There are dings around the original tone knob. The original pick guard is in good condition.The 5-way switch is slightly bent towards the strings but it functions fine and is unnoticeable until you really start to examine it closely. There is 5-way switch and 2 position toggle switch work as follows; 1. Bridge 2. Bridge and Middle 3. Middle Pickup 4. Middle and Neck (Plus Bridge Pickup When Switch Is Activated) 5. Neck Pickup (Plus Bridge Pickup When Switch Is Activated). The neck and bridge vintage noiseless pickups are original from the factory and the middle position pickup is an original vintage noiseless Strat pickup. The back of the guitar shows more sign of wear and has play wear along the edges which are shown in the pictures. There are two dings around the buckle area as well as between the string holes and strap button. 
Moving up the modern "C" neck, there is signs of play wear which have been pictured without the stings on. The maple has aged really nicely, giving it a true vintage look. The frets are worn but have life in them. ZERO buzzing. The pearl inlays are really beautiful and unique. The bottom side of the neck has wear up and down from lots of use (see the back side of the neck picture). There are dings up and down as well. Just oiled the rosewood fretboard with MusicNomad products. 
 
The headstock has dings in it but no breaks or repairs. Tuning machines are original and function fine. Just restrung with Ernie Ball Power Slinky's 11-46s.
 
The original case is in decent to bad condition. One of the latches is broken and there are cracks and holes near the headstock but it still latches shut and would protect this beauty in the home just fine. The webbing to hold the top part of the case to the bottom is not intact anymore. Fender sticker is still there but a sticker removal has peeled some of the top part off.
 
This guitar weighs 7 lbs 14 oz. I've included pictures showing the neck/body separated. The neck is stamped Jan. 26 1999 and the body is stamped Dec. 22 1998. The serial number can be searched through Fender. DN817523. I will also offer an in-person demo in my private studio in Yucaipa, CA.
