For your consideration is a 1993 Gibson Les Paul Studio in ebony with ebony fretboard with its original hard shell case. Please read through this description in its entirety, look through all photos closely and ask questions prior to purchasing as my shop policy states that I do not accept returns.
Starting at the body, there are obvious signs of play and use indicated by scratches/swirls/chips/dings and finish checking. I have tried my best to depict this on the ebony paint job by taking different camera angles. Please know that I have not tried to intentionally hide any of this. This is a player grade guitar. The 490R neck and the 498T bridge pickups sound great and the toggle switch functions properly. The gold hardware is tarnished, showing the guitar's use and age. Moving up the neck, the lacquer is starting to lift where the neck connects to the body. It is only noticeable along the fret position indicators which I have tried to picture. The truss rod functions properly and the neck relief is great with zero buzzing or dead spots. The Gibson Deluxe tuning machines are unoriginal to the guitar and were replaced by me with a period correct set. The headstock has paint chips and scuffs consistent with the rest of the guitar but there are no breaks or repairs. The bridge volume speed knob is partly broken. It stays in place and functions normally but could be replaced (please see picture).
The original hard shell case is in worn condition. There is a tear in the vinyl, the inner soft liner that lays on top of the guitar is missing, and the latch for the 3 digit lock is missing 2 screws (the latch itself is in the case cubby).
I recently set up this guitar with low action, similar to Gibson manufacturer specs. Intonation has been adjusted. Restrung with Ernie Ball 10-46s. Weight is approximately 8lbs 8oz. My digital caliper isn't working at the moment so other specs aren't available at this time. Serial number for verification is 91033576.
If you are located in the SoCal area I will allow for an in-person demo and pickup in my private studio.
