Up for sale is an EXCELLENT condition, Vintage American Fender Stratocaster from 1987 with its original hard shell case. I am the third owner, purchasing from the second owner who only held it for less than a year. I’d consider this to be a case queen that saw minimal playing.
Starting at the body, there are surface level swirls but not dings, chips or major scratches. The original pickups have been replaced with hot noiseless pickups and the pots are modern off of a 2007 Highway One Strat. The second tone knob is been wired to the bridge pickup. Original pick guard. The fretboard and frets show minimal signs of play. The headstock is perfect with original Shaller locking tuners. In 1987 Fender used both Shaller and Sperzel. Recently restrung with Ernie Ball Power Slinky 11-48s. The strap buttons have been changed to strap locks (strap assemblies are not included). Trem bar will be shipped in the case. Pictures show the guitar and neck separated to show proof of stamp and date. This guitar was built by Scott Buehl, who is now a Master Builder at Fender, on October 9th, 1987. The weight is 8 lbs 1 oz. It will be shipped in its original case that’s in 6/10 condition. The case has a broken hinge and all 4 of the ball feet case studs are missing. It still latches closed and stays shut. Our shop is located in Yucaipa, CA and I'm willing to meet in person for a private viewing/demo. I can also meet for local delivery. Note, I do not have inside animals but the previous owner might've and the inside of the case smells like they had cats.
