For your consideration is a 1977 Gibson MK-35 in fair condition with its original chipboard case in good working and aesthetic condition. Please read this description in its entirety, look through all pictures and reach out with questions prior to purchasing as I do not accept returns. I'd consider this to be a player-grade to luthier special guitar. Despite the cracks, chips, scratches and higher action around the 12th fret, it strums nicely and is fun to play.

Starting at the body, there is a noticeable crack in the seam from the bridge to the end of the body near the strap button/input jack. The bridge has a surface level crack that runs the span of the bridge pins but upon removing the pins for a restring the crack does not go through the bridge. The pick guard has been removed. There is beautiful finish checking throughout the face of the body. There is a second crack on the edge of the body above the input jack, just below the binding. The third crack is on the back of the guitar that runs from the edge to the pick (see picture with the pick). There is a functioning pickup installed and has been plugged in to test but at this time the brand is unknown. Multiple scratches and dings throughout the body and sides.

Moving up the neck, the frets and rosewood fretboard are in good condition. Usual wear in the fingerboard around frets 1-5 which I've tried to show in pictures. The neck could use a reset to help with string height at 12th fret. The front of the headstock is really nice and the original tuning machines function properly. There is a chip in the back of the headstock above the serial number. No cracks or breaks in the headstock. A strap button was added at the heel of the neck.

The original chipboard case is in good working condition. No breaks in the board itself. Multiple sticker removals have left some superficial tears in the top of the material as well as bubbling but it is purely aesthetic. The cubby inside the case is in good condition as well.

The guitar was restrung D'Addario extra light strings 10-47 strings on 1-14-25. Weight is approximately 4 lbs 14 oz. Serial number for Gibson verification is D342903. Nut width, string height, neck width and other measurements will be updated at a later time when this guitar gets brought to my studio. A demo will also be uploaded at a later time.

I offer local pickup and will allow for a demo in my private studio.
